Tim Bezbatchenko has spent the past three years as the Senior Director of Player Relations and Competition with Major League Soccer he knows how we can keep laba I sure hope so. This is one of the few things really stressing me about this year's team. Laba looks like he could become great. Labe + Bradley == awesome. Can't wait for March 22. Simply cannot wait. If The Bez manages to pull off Laba. TFC wins the offseason!

We were going to lose Laba regardless. Essentially it was Bradley for Laba, not Cesar. Hopefully we can loan him, but if we do have to sell him it one of those "it's a nice problem to have" things.

Can't understand why people don't want to Brazil number 1, who has be voted best keeper in the world not that long ago, and a keeper who has won trophies like this! Also check Kristian Jack's article on why this is a good move for the club: www.tsn.ca/soccer/story/?id=443226

While Goalkeeper is not a position we really need to upgrade, when you have a chance to bring in one of the best players at his position in the world you do it.
Bendik may have taken a little shot to his pride but i really hope he takes this opportunity to learn how the best in the world does it, act like a sponge because this may be the 1 and only time he can work with the best on a daily basis.
It goes beyond the goaltenders as well: think of how much Henry, Agboss, Morrow, Morgan, Hagglund etc can learn positionally from a keeper with as much experience as Cesar. This time can and should be looked at as a huge opportunity for everyone on the team to pick the brain of a player who has won almost everything.
Beyond the current team how big will it be for us as TFC supporters and MLS in general to be able to say "ya that toronto FC player is starting for Brazil" and for him to be able to tell his teammates and countrymen that the MLS is a viable option and that he loved his time in toronto. For recruiting purposes that is a huge advantage when we want to go to south america and pick out good young talent or try and convince an established to come here.
Cesar is a better keeper than Defoe is a striker or Bradley is a Midfielder... I for one am going to really enjoy seeing Cesar wear the red even if it is just for a couple months.

Has anyone heard how long this loan is for?
King Pint: thanks for that highlight reel. I don't often follow Serie A, so missed out on a lot of that. Amazing stuff. How does a guy like that become #2?!? Politics?
I for one am looking forward to a couple of months of shut-out football. Time to make BMO a fortress.
(having said all that, I feel for Bendik. But I guess if we win anything this year, he'll be the keeper in the big games, so perhaps it won't matter to him)

I think it is politics/$$$ as to why he became a #2 at QPR.

I've read some stuff about Bradley wearing the TFC armband this year. I hope they don't do this. Caldwell was the chief last year and he deserves it. Bradley has only played one game for us. I think it's too early. Same reason Beckham didn't (permanently) take the armband his entire time in MLS. Caldwell has 2ish years left on his contract, then reassess then...

Unless there is something in Bradley's contract, I'm thinking that Caldwell will be captain again -- but I expect Bradley to eventually inherit the role. Nelson knows Caldwell, Caldwell has more experience, etc. No reason to take it away.

Look's like Nelson's on record with this one.... Caldwell has done nothing to lose the title, also if we change captain now Dero has to come up in the conversation
